A kinder way to arrange flowers.
Phoam is officially certified by TÜV Austria for industrial compostability, meaning it meets rigorous environmental standards for biodegradation. In tests Phoam broke down 90% in 17 days and completely in 25 days ahead of the 6 month requirement to pass the test. Phoam provides more choice for florists who are looking for a sustainable alternative to traditional floral foam. Incorporating an "earth-to-earth" approach, our compostable floral foam returns nutrients to the soil, enhancing its health while reducing waste and supporting sustainable practices.

Phoam Labs' patented foam was developed to replace the phenolic foam widely used today in the floral industry around the world.
Over the past seven years, following research carried out at the University of Minnesota, we developed a compostable polylactide (PLA) foam. Patents were granted in both the US and Europe in 2022.
Today, in our R&D facility in Minneapolis, we are making the world’s first full size compostable floral foam bricks and plan to be in commercial production later this year.
